The Video Webcomic Overlook reads that Creepy Korean Webcomic

Well, since everyone suggested that I read that Korean webcomic despite the fact that I scare easier than a chihuahua, I decided to click on the link and see what all the fuss was about.

And for some reason, I decided to film myself doing it. I guarantee you that the reactions in the below video is genuine.

For the record, my heart is still pumping and my mind is still racing and I’m still afraid to walk down the streets at night.

Thanks a lot.

About El Santo

Somehow ended up reading and reviewing almost 300 different webcomics. Life is funny, huh? Despite owning two masks, is not actually a luchador.

  1. You’re a braver man than I am, El Santo – I hid under my desk when that scary part came up.

  2. OKAY that face you flashed at the end? NOT FUNNYYY.

    Also I loled.

  3. It does it a second time further down. That’s probably a bit scarier because the zombie comes at you.

  4. Was it suppose to be flickering or did I not wait long enough for it to load?

  5. I stopped reading the comic after that first jump scare a couple days ago. I can’t remember the last time my heart stopped like that from media. XD

    It’s amazing how much scarier that is than most movies now a day. XD

  6. So, spoilery comments:

    I’m really interested in the technique, because I don’t know if you noticed, but if you scroll back up, each frame is it’s own little panel, and it actually still works just as well as a comic. This seems like a really good way to add movement to a comic. Most other animated comics disorient me, because of the way the pacing goes in and out of my control. Especially if you go back and you have to watch the same animation all over again.

    This is a neat way to solve the problem.

  7. I had to skip two days before I was brave enough to test the second scare lol xD

  8. I’m sort of ashamed that that still works on me. I mean that’s built off a scare that is as old as the internet.

  9. It links to some sweet webcomic related videos :). BTW, That’s Large Marge at the end of the video.

  10. Hahaha! That was awesome, El Santo. And honestly, your reaction was very similar to mine.

    But you missed the second scare! It was even worse IMO because {SPOILERS}

    you think the ghost is finally leaving, but no. {END SPOILERS}

  11. Holy shit!
    Hahahah! That scared the shit out of me! I feel you El Santo, I closed it immediately and laughed a little.

  12. I can never look at a scrolling series of images the same way again. I’m always waiting for one of them to start moving.

  13. This monstrosity reminded me of Kayako from the Grudge because of the way she was twisted and skewed. i’m finding the rest of the comics by this guy are really visually arresting so that even without knowing Hangul I can enjoy them.
